press release: At their monthly performance at The Brink on Thursday, May 23, the Madison Jazz Orchestra will be joined by a guest artist, violinist Jon Vriesacker. Vriesacker, a very versatile musician who plays with groups as diverse as The Madison Symphony and The Kissers, will be featured on a composition by MJO alum Rick Hirsch as well as on some Duke Ellington charts.
MJO has been appearing at The Brink on the 4th Thursday of each month since 2008. The performance begins at 7:30 PM & ends at 10 There is no cover charge.
