Madison Rally to Stop Abortion Bans

Rally against legislation banning and restricting abortion, with Madison National Organization for Women and many other organizations, 6 pm, 5/23, Capitol-State Street steps.

press release: It feels like every day there's a new state proposing further restrictions and near total bans on abortion care. We're saying ENOUGH. Abortion is healthcare. Abortion is live saving and life affirming. Abortion is a human right. We're planning a die-in and rally in solidarity with Alabama, Georgia, Missouri, Ohio, and all states fighting back against cruel abortion bans. See you on the Capitol steps.

Plan:

Meet on the State St steps of the Capitol. Rally to be followed by die-in (protesters may lie on the steps with their signs) and speak-out. We'll also have tables set up for abortion fund donations and thank you cards to providers and clinic staff. Additional details to come and we will keep this page updated as we confirm info!

We will be collecting donations for The Yellowhammer Fund and Women's Medical Fund. We will have buckets for cash and tablets for card. Please bring funds if you are able.
