Gilda's Club, Middleton 7907 UW Health Court, Middleton, Wisconsin 53562
Children of all ages feel anxious time to time. Periods of increased stress, such as that during a cancer diagnosis, can send your child's anxiety through the roof. What are signs that your child is anxious? How can you help your child cope with his or her feelings? What are ways your entire family can engage in stress management? When is it time to seek support from professionals? Join Mindy Cardenas, Art Therapist, parent and cancer survivor, as she shares her insights and suggestions to help your family, and your child, gain better control over anxiety.
The discussion is intended for parents, grandparents, and all adults who care for a child affected by anxiety.
Supervised play for children will be offered during the discussion. Please register children if they plan to attend; call with questions (608) 828-8880.
