March for Babies

press release: More than 2,000 people are expected to gather at Olin Park to take part in the March for Babies this coming Saturday. These energized families, companies and volunteers are expected to raise over $350,000 to fund March of Dimes programs and research aimed at giving babies a healthy start. The 1-mile family fun walk route takes walkers around Olin Park and the 3-mile walk goes up Wingra Creek Trail and back.
March for Babies is the premier fundraising event for the March of Dimes that benefits Madison babies. March of Dimes is the champion for all babies, those born healthy and those who need help to survive and thrive. Moms can rely on March of Dimes for everything they need to know about having a healthy baby before, during and after pregnancy.
Saturday, May 14, Olin Park (1156 Olin-Turville Ct.). Registration begins at 8:30 a.m. Official start time is 9:30 a.m. (Opening Ceremonies begin at 9:15 a.m.)
UW Marching Band and Middleton High School Dance Team will lead the March! Before and after the 1- and 3-mile walks, other festivities include:
The Mini Moo Clinic: Kids can adopt a Chick-fil-A Mini Moo and make sure it gets all its newborn care at the clinic
Pick up a colored Lei to symbolize why you walk at the Dean & St. Mary’s tent
