Mark Brampton Smith holds degrees in Organ Performance from the Eastman School of Music and the University of Michigan. Among his teachers were William Watkins, Russell Saunders, and Robert Glasgow (organ); Vincent Lenti (piano); and Edward Parmentier (harpsichord). Currently the organist at Grace, Mark has served on the music staff of churches in seven states. A prize winner in several national organ competitions, he has given solo concerts in churches and auditoriums, including Overture Hall. As a collaborative pianist, Mark has worked with singers, instrumentalists, and choral ensembles, including the University of Michigan choirs, Ann Arbor Cantata Singers, Colgate University Chorus, and, since 2012, the Wisconsin Chamber Choir. This is his fourth time playing for Grace Presents.
