Madison School and Community Recreation and a group of community organizations and nonprofits are partnering for the Mobile Madison program, which brings a range of activities for kids and families to city parks. This week's events include crafting with the Madison Children’s Museum Roadshow, fishing activities with the DNR’s Fishmobile, books and reading with Madison Reading Project’s Big Red Reading Bus and Madison Public Library’s Dream Bus, and movies from Madison Parks' Sina Davis Movies In the Park series at 6:45 p.m. each night (Minions: The Rise of Gru on June 13 and Encanto on June 15). The city of Madison Parks Division developed Movies with Madison Parks in harmony with the City's Neighborhood Resource Teams (NRTs). Sina Davis, from the Allied Drive Neighborhood, provided the spark and served as the main community driver behind the creation and development of the program. Madison School & Community Recreation (MSCR) Art Cart & FITGO, Madison Parks, Madison Reading Project Big Red Reading Bus, DNR Fishmobile, MMSD Play & Learn, Madison Public Library & Dane County Library Service Dream Bus and Madison Children’s Museum are hosting a Mobile Madison event on Tuesday, June 13 at Brittingham Park, 829. W Washington Ave, and Thursday, June 15, 5-8 pm at Elver Park, 1250 McKenna Blvd.
Join Mobile Madison partners for an evening of art activities, fitness, fishing games, free books, snacks and more. Families should bring a blanket or a lawn chair to see a free Madison Parks Sina Davis Movie at 6:45 pm.
According to Janet Dyer, MSCR executive director, “The Mobile Madison event showcases all the wonderful work neighborhood agencies are doing to reach and support community members. These large events are a fun way for families to learn and experience many free, engaging activities and services that are in their area."

Madison Children's Museum Roadshow The Madison Children’s Museum Roadshow brings mobile exhibits and maker activities to community events in Madison and the surrounding area. Create a miniature work of art to take home and get inventive with creative fort and structure building activities.
Madison Metropolitan School District Play & Learn Play and Learn is a free program for families with children from 0-5 to learn early math, literacy and social skills through play.
MSCR FIT2GO FIT2GO is a free, drop in traveling fitness program that provides fun activities and games to children of any age and their families.
MSCR & MMOCA Art Cart Creative outdoor art making experiences to children ages 3+ and their families.
Madison Reading Project Big Red Reading Bus The Reading Bus is Madison Reading Project's mobile book giving service. Children and families can access free, high quality books and literacy resources.
Madison Public Library & Dane County Library Service Dream Bus The Dream Bus brings mobile library service to Madison neighborhoods. Get a library card, check out a book, or use our wi-fi!
