A ski experience unlike any other, Monumental follows the tracks of skiers in Yellowstone, Yosemite, Grand Teton, Glacier, and Olympic National Parks through the lens of KGB Productions, an award-winning production house based out of Jackson, Wyo. Telling the rich history of each of the five parks, the film features the voices of park rangers and locals who have dedicated their lives to preserving, promoting, and recreating in these pristine places. Meanwhile, as skiers travel farther and farther, looking for untracked powder and a refuge from crowds, a cast of skiers showcases what’s possible in our amazing national parks.
“Monumental pays homage to the explorers, naturalists, writers, environmentalists, historians, and politicians that toiled to preserve these wild places,” says John Stifter, executive producer of the film and Powder Productions. “This project serves to educate skiers and recreationists on the beautiful history of these magical parks while encouraging skiers to go deep and channel their inner explorer.”
