press release: Rural Musicians Forum is delighted to present the Madison based New Muse Ensemble on Monday, July 2 at 7:30PM at Unity Chapel. Staying true to their mission of exploring the lesser-performed chamber works, this group of young and talented professionals will be presenting music for relatively unusual instrumentation; flute-Danielle Breisach, horn-Jeff Breisach, and piano-Yana Avedyan. You will also be able to witness the world premiere of music commissioned by this ensemble.
The first half of the performance will focus on the evolution of French composer Nicolas Bacri’s works for flute and piano, beginning with his substantial Sonata da Camera, op. 67 and ending with Spring Sonata, op. 147, his newest work for flute and piano which was composed specifically for this performance. The second half of the performance will introduce the Rural Musician’s Forum audience to Daniel and Laura Harrison, two up-and-coming composers from Cincinnati, OH. Both new compositions from the Harrisons are written for flute, horn, and piano. The Harrison husband and wife composer duo will be in attendance and available to discuss their new works.
Admission is by free will offering. Unity Chapel is located at 6597 County Hwy T, Spring Green.
