#NoDAPL Day of Action Rally

press release: Sierra Club John Muir Chapter, Jewish Voice for Peace - Madison, 350 Madison Climate Action Team, Climate Action 350 UW-Madison, Wood’s Edge Edgewood College Student Organization, and Wild Harvest Nature Connection along with additional organizations and groups will gather for a solidarity action and rally.
In conjunction with the National No Dakota Access Pipeline (#NoDAPL) Movement, Madison Area citizens, organizations, and leaders are gathering together with others across the country for a Day of Action on November 15th to stand in solidarity with the Water Protectors at Standing Rock.
Various speakers: Jewish Voice for Peace-Madison will offer a water prayer. Those that have travelled to North Dakota will address issues related to the NoDAPL movement and the life-changing impact it will have on the environment for future generations.
Children from Nature Connection programs in the local and surrounding areas will offer a water song and lead the way as we peacefully march to the Capitol Building.
We will peacefully and prayerfully call for a permanent end to the DAPL.
