press release: Summer Concerts are a proud tradition at NESCO. For over 20 years, we’ve hosted free concerts at the pavilion in Warner Park for the enjoyment of our north and eastside friends, families, and neighbors.
In just a few short weeks we will see the beginning of NESCO’s 2016 Summer Concert series and Warner Park will again be alive with the sound of music!
Mark your calendar for Monday, June 13, and plan to join us when Northern Hooks kicks off our 2016 concert season. Five more Monday concerts will follow: June 20,Eddie Butts Band; June 27, Ladies Must Swing; July 11, Thirsty Jones; July 18, Soggy Prairie Boys; and July 25, Cajun Strangers. All concerts begin at 6:00 p.m. at the shelter, and food is available for purchase each week. Or, bring your own blanket and picnic on the grass. We guarantee an evening of fun and entertainment!
Thanks to you, our members, and your generous support, NESCO is able to provide programs and services for older adults, including community events like our concert series. This year we’ve set a goal of raising $5,000 for the concert fund.
NESCO’s concert fund not only helps to provide local musical entertainment that reflects the diversity of our community but it also provides transportation for older adults who would not otherwise be able to get to the concerts. Won’t you please help us meet our goal and continue our tradition of Summer Concerts in the park? Together we can reach our concert fund goal—and together we can make music at NESCO. Thank you for your continued support.
