press release: Special Acoustic “Open Mic” Edition of The 89.9 Social Club.

The 89.9 Social Club strives to create opportunities for WORT-FM volunteers to visit with, and bond with, folks that share a common experience. The Club gatherings also create an opportunity for curious members of the community to meet WORT-FM volunteers and get a better sense of what WORT-FM is all about.

The fun, cozy, bar room is the perfect place for The 89.9 Social Club 'Open Mic' gathering--decorated with nostalgic artifacts from a bygone era.  The Lakeside Street Coffee House. is near the #16 & #13 bus routes (which run 3 blocks to the North, on Olin Ave.). Bike racks are available, too. Otherwise, there is plenty of street parking nearby.

NOTE: The “Acoustic” Open Mic simply means NOT loud. We strive to maintain a peaceful coexistence with the good neighbors, residing very close by. Signups (to perform) begin at 6:00pm. The performances will begin at 6:30pm. Open to all.
