Our Madison Plan: Taking Madison From Worst To First
Fountain of Life Covenant Church 633 W. Badger Road, Madison, Wisconsin 53713
We invite African American Community Members for a Family Meeting and preview of the framework we are presenting soon. Join us from 5:30pm-8pm (Light dinner from 5:30-6:00pm.) Please click here to RSVP: http://jafamilytalk.eventbrite.com/
To our non-African American allies, supporters and friends: we appreciate your support and commitment to these issues. However, we ask that you would respect our need to meet with the African American community specifically. There will be other opportunities for you to speak into this process.
We met nearly a year ago to discuss what it would take for us to move ahead in proposing a community solution to our African American community’s issues. We listened closely to each other. This means African American parents, students, grassroots leaders, pastors, ex-offenders, business leaders, politicians and teachers. We have worked hard to develop a framework that will support development of workable strategies and we would like your feedback.
Please forward this information to other African American Community Members that may be interested in attending.

A Call To Action
This reception, celebration and assembling of allies will be a call to action to build community and renew our collective hope in a Madison that offers opportunities wherein we ALL thrive.
The leadership of Justified Anger has spent the past year convening, facilitating, organizing, interviewing and strategizing. We have made unprecedented progress in collaborating within the African American community. Our findings have been turned into a empowering and forward-looking framework of action. We want to spend an evening with the people who are most responsible for implementing these strategies: you, us, our organizations/agencies, everyone. We need all hands on deck if we are really serious about taking Madison from worst to first as a community that serves everyone, particularly African American children and families.
Please join the Justified Anger Coalition and the community as we move ahead together in enhancing the quality of life of this great community.
