Paul Silbergleit Trio

press release: Paul Silbergleit is bringing his trio featuring the awesome Clay Schaub on bass and Devin Drobka on drums. It will be a night of original music as well as fresh arrangements of standard repertoire (including some off-the-beaten-path gems), all delivered in this trio’s bold but tasty manner, at once creative, swingin’, and subtle!

Guitarist Paul Silbergleit is a longtime mainstay of the area jazz scene, as a leader of his own bands as well as a member of the revered supergroup We Six, among other stellar lineups. He has appeared with such notables as Benny Golson, Jack McDuff, Phil Woods, Richie Cole, Tierney Sutton, Melvin Rhyne, Brian Lynch, David Hazeltine, and the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra. His albums Silberglicity, My New Attitude, and January all feature his own highly regarded compositions and have been heard on the airwaves nationwide, while his brand new release The Hidden Standard shows off his arranging skills with a remarkable array of material reimagined for jazz sextet. A graduate of Oberlin College, he is currently on the faculty of the Milwaukee Jazz Institute. He has also authored numerous instructional books for Hal Leonard, including the monumental 25 Great Jazz Guitar Solos and the newly released Play Like Joe Pass.
