Practice for Pups
Inner Fire Yoga-West 5003 University Ave., Madison, Wisconsin 53705
press release: Inner Fire Yoga welcomes yoga students of all levels to join us for a Practice for Pups benefit event hosted with Fetch Rescue of Madison on Saturday, February 11, from 12:30 – 2:00 p.m. The event will be held at Inner Fire’s West studio (5003 University Ave.).
The event will consist of a one hour power flow yoga class taught by Inner Fire instructor and Fetch Rescue volunteer, Julie Logue, followed by a meet and greet with the fetch puppy ambassadors and foster pups. It will be a fun event, mixing the philosophies of self-care and compassion through yoga, with that of caring for our four-legged friends. The class is free, but donations are welcomed and greatly appreciated. All proceeds from the event will benefit Fetch Rescue Madison.
Fetch Rescue is an organization whose mission is to rehome and rehabilitate at-risk dogs. Since opening in 2013, Fetch Rescue has made it their vision to create a society in which every dog is valued and provided proper care and compassion. The entirely volunteer-run organization focuses on building education and support for the fosters and adopters, so dogs become confident and balanced in their new homes. To date, Fetch Rescue has found new homes for over 400 dogs.
Inner Fire Yoga is continually committed to serving the Madison community and promoting healthy living, community engagement and social responsibility through yoga. To date, Inner Fire has donated over $90,000 to local and international charities. The studio provides needs-based scholarships for three months of unlimited yoga; and hundreds of gift cards have been donated to organizations and individuals across the Madison-community.
