Proposed Downtown Food & Beverage Moratorium

Mayor Soglin will host an informational session and discussion on his proposal for a temporary moratorium on downtown food and drink establishments on Thursday, April 28. The meeting will be held at 2:00 p.m. in Room 260 of the Madison Municipal Building.
Mayor Soglin and city staff will present data related to the loss of retail on State Street and the Capitol Square and describe the concept for a temporary moratorium. Some time will be available for questions and discussion. All downtown stakeholders are invited to attend.
