Randy Sabien & Bill Camplin
Our House 451 N. Few St., Madison, Wisconsin 53703
press release: Bill and Randy are back on the road together this summer. They played atOur House over three years ago and we couldn’t resist having them back. Randy, a graduate of The Berklee College of Music in Boston, is currently teaching music in St. Paul. He’s a bluesy, jazzy swinging violin player reminiscent of Stephane Grappelli (and a marvelous mandolin man to boot). He’s a Madison favorite, whether performing at The Brink, Jazz at 5 on a hot summer night, or at the Stoughton Opera House. It’s hard to imagine you could find a better violin player in the Midwest. Or anywhere else, for that matter!
You might know Bill Camplin as that feisty old gray dude who cooks up a mean bowl of chili and hosts wonderful musicians with his wife Kitty at The Café Carpe in Ft. Atkinson. Think again. Bill is a dynamite songwriter and guitar picker in his own right. We’ve seen him perform in the last few years with people like Willy Porter, Peter Mulvey, and Randy Sabien. Some nights he steals the show. When Randy and Bill get together, you can count on hearing some grand tunes and great vibes. Tickets are $20 for adults, $17 for people under 18.
