Reciclar!
Catholic Multicultural Center/Centro Guadalupe 1862 Beld St., Madison, Wisconsin 53713
The “Cuidando Nuestro Clima, Agua, y Tierra” program (caring for our climate, water, and land) is offering an event at the CMC on Saturday January 26th from 9:45am to noon in collaboration with Edgewood College. At this event, Spanish-speaking families are invited to explore the topic of recycling. What can I recycle? Where can I go to recycle items that can’t be recycled at home? How can I reduce waste? These questions and more will be explored through group discussion and games for a fun, interactive morning where we can learn from one another and leave inspired to take some small steps to Care for Creation. All are welcome (interpretation provided by request for English-speakers); e-mail us or call 608-441-1180 to register. Programs like this are offered throughout the year at the CMC to inclusively address environmental issues disproportionately affecting the people we serve (low income and minority communities), contributing to our mission of helping our brothers and sisters in need by serving the whole person.
