media release: We can't wait to welcome back Helen Avakian & Dave Irwin for a monthly spot on our wee lil stage! These days they're playing as Red Door Duo, and their music just fills the shop with such high levels of awesome:

~ Red Door Duo is musical couple Helen Avakian, International Fingerstyle Guitar Champion and Dave Irwin, long time Madison guitarist. They will present an evening of acoustic guitar based music with songs and instrumentals, originals and unique arrangements of selected covers. Vocal harmonies, ukulele, and mandolin will also make appearances. Expect an evening of Americana Folk style music with some classical, jazz and world influences chiming in.

Fresh off a 6 week tour from headling the Walnut Valley Festival in Winfield, Kansas to numerous dates on the east coast, Red Door Duo is so happy to be performing in person again. They have also recently released their first cd recording together, “Door Number One.”
