Remo Drive
Though a charter member of the emo revival movement, Minnesota’s Remo Drive has a lot more going on than that may indicate. With influences ranging from Title Fight to Vampire Weekend, the band’s musical diversity stands out among their contemporaries. Remo Drive is the kind of band that will likely serve as a sonic gateway for a generation of music fans, introducing them to sounds far beyond emo. Their hotly anticipated sophomore album, Natural, Everyday Degradation, will be released on May 31. With Madison natives Slow Pulp (also with a new EP, Big Day), plus Slow Bullet.
$18 ($15 adv.).

Remo Drive consists of brothers Erik and Stephen Paulson, who formed the band in high school in 2013. Initially inspired by “older kids who smoked weed and listened to Title Fight,” the duo soon introduced elements of ’90s grunge and classic rock, infusing their dynamic sound with an undeniable sense of fun.
Epitaph reissued Remo Drive’s full-length debut, Greatest Hits. Originally self-released in 2017, the long-sold-out album is now available to purchase on CD and vinyl. Additionally, Epitaph released Remo Drive’s EP Pop Music. Remo Drive is currently working on new music with further details to come.
Slow Pulp is a Wisconsin born, Chicago based rock quartet. Somewhere between anthem and lullaby, their music hints at a mess of contradictory emotions wound up in a gentle yet incisive wit. "High" is the first (and only) single leading up to their sophomore EP Big Day, due out mid-May. Check out the premiere via The FADER. Slow Pulp is -- Teddy Mathews (drums), Emily Massey (guitar / vocals), Henry Stoehr (guitar), and Alex Leeds (bass).
