About Love Letters: Artist Rhea Ewing invites you to explore the natural world in this beautiful little book. Breaking the bounds of an A-Z book, Love Letters is at times alliterative, but often strays in surprising and unexpected directions. Detailed illustration by detailed illustration, Ewing guides us on a journey through their mind that is both scientific and deeply personal. The book is filled with strange histories, vulnerable anecdotes, and amusing facts about each featured plant and animal species.

The Love Letters illustrations are also available as a coloring book. From chinchillas to skulls, it has something for the artist in all of us.

About the Author: Rhea Ewing is a fine artist and an alumna of UW-Madison. Through their work Rhea calls upon personal and political themes of living with a queer identity in the Midwest, finding spiritual connections to the natural world, and building safe spaces for all people. The value of art, by their reasoning, is the ability to create connections, question assumptions, and inspire others to do the same.
