Shania Twain
Man, I feel like…going to see Shania Twain at the Kohl Center. The country artist is playing a ton of dates all across Canada and the United States on a world tour behind the Queen of Me album; you can get up close and personal, too, with a VIP package that includes a photo op, an appearance onstage with the star during a song, drinks, merch and…a parking space. Even if you come by bike and sit in the nosebleeds, expect high-energy dance numbers, cowboy hats, thigh-high boots, and Twain’s get-outta-my-way vocals. Country singer/songwriter Hailey Whitters opens.
media release: Gearing up for another monumental chapter, five-time GRAMMY® Award-winning legend and the best-selling female artist in country music history Shania Twain released her new album, Queen of Me, on February 3, 2023. It notably stands out as her sixth original full-length offering, first record since 2017, and official debut for her new label partner Republic Nashville, a division of Republic Records.
To celebrate this next era in style, she will also embark on a global 49-date Queen of Me Tour, produced by Live Nation. The tour marks the first time fans around the world will get to see the queen in all of her glory in nearly five years, following a highly successful Vegas residency run. Kelsea Ballerini, Lindsay Ell, Hailey Whitters, Breland, Robyn Ottolini, Priscilla Block, and Mickey Guyton will be joining Shania on select dates throughout the tour.
The Queen of Me Tour lands in Madison on May 16, 2023 at Kohl Center. Doors 6:30 / Show 7:30.
“Let’s go girls..”, the Queen has returned.
Shania will make it feel like summer forever, like only she can…
In March, Twain announced the release of a collaboration with trailblazing female producer Malibu Babie [Megan Thee Stallion, Nicki Minaj]. Babie, who is the first and only woman to debut at No. 1 on Billboard‘s Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs as a producer this century, has put her twist on Twain’s current single “Giddy Up!” with a new remix.
The remix arrives on the heels of Shania’s three exclusive Spotify Singles—“Queen of Me (Acoustic)” and her covers of “Falling” by Harry Styles and “Spoonful” by Howlin’ Wolf.
Off the remix, Shania commented “I like to work with talented people and it's never really been part of my process to consider gender when choosing collaborators but I think it’s important to work on closing this gender gap we all feel is still an obstacle. So in this instance, I sought out a female remixer – I liked Malibu Babie’s style and knew she was a fan from her TikTok mashup of one of my songs. I think her Giddy Up! Remix is awesome, she is so talented and I’m so pleased to give a fellow female producer the spotlight. I hope the fans love it as much as me!”
Shania and Live Nation have announced that $1 of every ticket purchased to Shania’s “Queen Of Me” Tour will be donated to SKC.
