Sonny Knight performed R&B in the Twin Cities in the ’70s, but it wasn’t until he hit his 60s that his music career took off. Knight and his backing band, the Lakers, are one of the most exciting recent soul groups to come out of the Midwest; they were dubbed the best live act in 2014 by the Star Tribune.
