Spatula&Barcode: Foodways

In culmination of their two month residency Spatula&Barcode, artists Laurie Beth Clark and Michael Peterson present this lecture on their Foodways project. Laurie Beth Clark and Michael Peterson will share their experiences and reflections on making Spatula&Barcode’s three Foodways projects (in Darmstadt, Germany, Melbourne, Australia, and Madison). They’ll discuss what they learned about food culture in each place, and the challenges and rewards of making social practice art with food and communities. And there will be snacks. The Bubbler is funded by a grant from the Institute for Museum and Library Services.
