media release: Madison’s premiere throwback band will kick off Pride Month on June 1 with a fundraising concert for OutReach LGBTQ+ Community Center.
Star 67, a Madison-based '90s and 2000s cover band, will host Emo Nite LIVE! on June 1 at High Noon Saloon. Doors open at 7 p.m. with 8 p.m. show.
Emo Nite LIVE! is a celebration of all things emo music, featuring all your favorite hits from the late 2000s. This event is the full package, with themed craft cocktails, a photo booth with emo props, costumes and decor.
The concert will kick off Pride Month, by fundraising for OutReach, a Madison-based nonprofit that’s committed to promoting equity and quality of life for LGBTQ+ people through advocacy and community building. A portion of proceeds from the show will be donated to support the nonprofit.
OutReach offers a wide variety of services, including harm reduction and safety training, housing services, grant programs, Elder services, support groups and countless connections to resources. The community center also offers a diverse event calendar, community center room rentals and staff that can help people find what they’re looking for.
“We appreciate the work that OutReach is doing in the Madison community, and can’t wait to support that work with a night of community and fun,” said Chris Westberg, a Star 67 band member.
Come relive the glory days, and rock out to all your favorite hits by Paramore, blink-182, Fall Out Boy, Panic! At the Disco, All Time Low, Good Charlotte, AFI, A Day to Remember, Evanescence and more. The show will also feature a tribute to My Chemical Romance, the ultimate emo band. Break out your eyeliner and skinny jeans, and come rock out with a community of like-minded people.
Tickets are $10 in advance, and $15 at the door. Tickets can be purchased via high-noon.com, bit.ly/Emo67HNS or at the Sylvee box office during business hours.
