One of Madison's most talented, prolific and experimental musicians can't wait to get her hands on the grand piano set up inside the Willy Street jazz haven Cafe Coda. Stephanie Rearick released her first solo album, The Long Picnic, on Sept. 11, 2001, and will mark the anniversary by playing songs from throughout her storied career. The livestream concert will give listeners a chance to support the artist and the club during this perilous time.

Rearick's work is sometimes dark piano-based classical/cabaret/pop. In addition to piano, Rearick sings, plays trumpet, and builds pieces with various sound sources live on a Boss Loopstation.
She performs as a solo artist and fronts The There Was a Mans. Previous bands include Your Mom SRO and The Coma Savants.
Rearick has issued 4 full-length solo releases plus recordings with Your Mom, Your Mom SRO and The Coma Savants, along with side work with musicians such as Eugene Chadbourne and The Crest.
Stephanie Rearick has won three Madison Area Music Awards (MAMAs) - for Best Classical Album (The Bucket Rider) and Best Classical Artist in 2005 and Best Unique Album (Star Belly) in 2006.
Rearick has been honored to have shared the stage with Faun Fables, Eugene Chadbourne, Rose Polenzani, The Detholz!, Stuart Davis and many others. She is often compared to The Dresden Dolls, Tom Waits, David Bowie and Regina Spektor.
