In a departure from the usual holiday offerings, Music Theatre of Madison’s Striking 12 features characters who are overwhelmed, lonely or simply cynical about the holidays. Originally devised by the Seattle band GrooveLily, Striking 12 features a quartet of actors/musicians riffing on the saddest of all holiday stories — Hans Christian Andersen’s The Little Match Girl.
