press release: Two local artists will be showing their work for three days, July 16, 17, 18 Show opening is 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday 16 Hours on Saturday and Sunday the 17-18 are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Suzanne Cody defines her current subject matter as “Controlled Chaos” . Ink pen is her current medium , mostly on paper although she also explores other surfaces that will be on display at the show. This is just the beginning for Suzanne as she recently returned to her art work and is pouring her creativity into her design while simultaneously writing a book. She invites you to join in experiencing some “Controlled Chaos” as well as viewing the beautiful Oil Pastels and Oil paintings of her friend Jacqueline Zakrzewski. This work is best described as Primitive Folk –Like. The tree branches in her paintings project roughness similar to the trials of life and capture the Spirit of Independence, allowing her to be true to herself in achieving her goals. Being from the Midwest, Jacque enjoys painting landscapes and florals that remind her of running and playing in the meadows as a child. Jacqueline has had the opportunity to have world renowned a rtist George Shipperley, OPA, as a mentor. Both her mother and two sisters are also artists.
