Despite the fact that Teenage Fanclub includes five exceedingly pleasant Scots, their career has not been without controversy. Spin named their classic Bandwagonesque Album of the Year for 1991 — over Nirvana's Nevermind. While that may amount to heresy among some alt-rock fans, Bandwagonesque is a classic power pop record.
