SONTALK: Joseph LeMay.
$15 ($13 adv.; ages 18+).
press release: Singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and producer Joseph LeMay shares personal trials, tribulations, and triumphs under the moniker SONTALK. Making his major label debut in April 2018 with the release of SONTALK: Act IEP, the music showcases LeMay's raw, introspective songwriting and haunting voice, which he pairs with a delicate yet edgy production style to create a warm and expansive sonic world. Initially meant as an introduction for a full-length debut, the EP's lead single "I Am A War Machine" immediately garnered praise from the likes of Stereogum, Ones To Watch and Wild Honey Pie. As he took the project on the road, the track generated a million streams within a few months and continues to grow.
Gearing up for the 2019 release of his debut album, SONTALK premiered an exclusive in-studio performance video for the album's lead track "Baby, I'm Gone" at Nashville Scene. Filmed at Nashville's Big Light Studio, the video brings to life the emotionality of the track as LeMay performs with his signature candor and a restorative vulnerability central to the music of SONTALK.
"Baby, I'm Gone" by SONTALK
"Baby, I'm Gone" is just the start for SONTALK as he prepares for both his debut album as well as nearly 40 newly-announced tour dates. He'll begin the New Year with a Chicago performance at Tomorrow Never Knows Festival supporting indie-pop act Yoke Lore before a string of dates alongside Bronze Radio Return and appearances at Savannah Stopover Music Festival and SXSW. SONTALK will hit the road again at the start of April, supporting artist Telekinesis on a month-long North American tour.
