Thanksgiving for the Turkeys
press release: Join Heartland Farm Sanctuary to celebrate Thanksgiving in a new way – by feeding the turkeys a holiday feast of their own! Serve the guests of honor holiday favorites, including cranberries, pumpkin pie, and stuffed squash. After the turkeys gobble up the food, come along for a barn tour to meet the rest of our farm animal friends (& share some treats with them, too!)
When? Saturday, November 18 – Doors open at 10 AM! The barn will be open until 12 PM for barn tours following the feast!
Where? Heartland Farm Sanctuary, 11713 Mid Town Road in Verona, WI (*note that our address recently changed from 7713 Midtown Road)
Event fee: $25 per person – includes a turkey sponsorship packet (The packet contains a beautiful color photograph of your Heartland turkey, the turkey’s personal rescue story, and sponsorship acknowledgement – all in a stand up frame card that will go perfectly on your Thanksgiving table to show everyone that YOUR Thanksgiving turkey is a friend!)
$15 per person (without turkey sponsorship)
NEW this year: $50 per person gets you admission to Eddie’s Friendship Feast! This cozy gathering takes place down in the barn with Eddie the turkey’s feathered (and furry) friends. Enjoy hot cocoa, freshly baked plant-based goodies, and help feed Eddie & friends their feast. Guests at Eddie’s Friendship Feast will also receive a turkey sponsorship. Seating is extremely limited!
Guests are welcome to bring treats for the turkeys (and they promise to share with the other sanctuary residents!) Our animal friends love apples, grapes, cooked or canned pumpkin, dark leafy greens, any kind of melon, bananas, and peanut butter!
