May 7th and 8th are very special dates for Kidlinks!
We will be welcoming:
Ingrid Moloi, Director of Ratang Bana Youth Outreach Alexandra, Johannesburg and Mpumi Ncwadi, director of the Indwe Trust, South Africa to Madison, Wisconsin.
They will be traveling from South Africa to present at a symposium 'The Agroecology of Development in Africa,' in the Deluca Forum and Atrium of the Wisconsin Institute for Discovery on May 7 from 2.30 pm till 6.30 pm. You are invited to join us here!
A big thanks to Dr. Michael Bell Director of the UW- Madison, Center for Integrated Agriculture Systems and PhD Candidate- Valerie Stull, for arranging funding for their trip.
The symposium will be followed by a welcome fundraiser and party at the Goodman Community Center on Madison's east side on Friday night, May 8th from 6.00pm till 9.00pm. There is no entrance fee. We will serve snacks and there will be a cash bar.
Please try to make it to welcome Ingrid and Mpumi to Madison. We would love to give them a big round of applause for the incredible work they are doing to help disadvantaged communities in South Africa.
