press release: The Big Payback will be celebrating their 10-year anniversary with a show that features special guest performers and world premieres of new music. The jazz-rock band also intends to record the show for release as a live album. DJ Cooper Talbot will open and local hip-hop/funk outfit Bird’s Eye will close out the night.

“Ten years ago, we started The Big Payback as a vehicle for our own original music. The band has literally been our big payback, the place where we get to stretch ourselves, experiment, and show off our chops,” said trombonist and founding member Jamie Kember. “Recording this momentous occasion with our community and fans is the best way to capture our energy. We’re really excited to have brand new tunes to play at this 10-Year Anniversary show. What a way to launch into the next ten years!”
