DeMars interviewed former student-athletes to identify the problems and potential solutions for those who played contact sports. The documentary shares the personal stories of athletes and considers how NCAA policies and practices might be improved. The panel discussion will explore that subject further, as well as health and wellness, balancing athletics and academics, the economics of college and professional sports, and opportunities for organizational change.
“The NCAA is big business and with it has come some big problems. I made this film to start a dialogue about solutions,” said DeMars. “As athletes, we love our schools and our sports. And when you truly care about something, you push to make it better.”
