The Dang-Its
Unity Chapel, Spring Green 6596 Hwy. T , Spring Green, Wisconsin 53588
press release: The Rural Musicians Forum’s July 13 concert features one of central Wisconsin’s favorite groups, the Dang-Its. The Dang-Its play “Americana,” featuring many styles of roots-oriented American music: country blues, bluegrass, Western Swing, honky tonk, folk, rockabilly and more. They have a rich mix of classics, standards, contemporary and flashy original songs.
The group was named 2013 Country/Bluegrass Performer of the Year by the Madison Area Music Awards. The Dang-Its’ most recent recording was named 2014 Country/Bluegrass Album of the Year by the MAMA.
The band features Jami Lampkins (guitar, 5 string banjo and vocals), Tom Waselchuk (guitar and vocals), Matt Rodgers (bass and vocals), and Rick Nass (pedal steel guitar).
With their own “dang” flair, this group covers a lot of stylistic ground. This evening is not just for hard-core country fans – anyone who loves foot-tapping music will be right at home.
The music begins at 7:30p.m., July 13, at Unity Chapel south of Spring Green. There is no ticket charge, but a freewill offering to support the concert series will be taken.
Unity Chapel is located at 6596 County Road T, just east of Hwy 23. The chapel is a living testament to the simple lives early settlers created for themselves in southwest Wisconsin. Indoor seating plus spacious lawns for chairs, blankets, picnics. For directions and more information on this concert and the series visit www.ruralmusiciansforum.org.
