An all-ages “Cosmic Circus” devoted to the aerial arts and somehow working in ideas of aliens and the music of dearly beloved (and departed) Prince? Sign us up! The Purple Circus is also trying to create awareness about opioid addiction, and has paired up with local drug treatment facility Tellurian Inc.

The Purple Circus is a performance reaching across a mixed variety of movement arts. From aerial arts to dance to flow arts to contortion, let us take you on an adventure to another dimension. Our Purple Majesty has lost her ability to create music and so she calls out to the cosmos for answers. And the cosmos respond. Two magical creatures come to find Our Purple Majesty on Earth and lead her to their world, The Cosmic Circus. It is here that Our Purple Majesty will meet a long list of fantastical alien creatures who are all in awe of her. They put on a performance to show Our Majesty just how much she has inspired their art and lives. In the end, Our Purple Majesty will discover what she was missing. True friendship. Community.

Please join us on this Prince-inspired adventure of growth, movement, and song with a rhyming narrative much inspired by Dr. Seuss. A show suitable for all ages! Come one, come all, to the Cosmic Circus!

★ A BENEFIT FOR TELLURIAN INC ★ Creating awareness of opioid addiction and further enriching the community with art are primary goals of the Purple Circus. We deeply desire to cultivate an informed community, as a majority of communities experience the impacts of opioid addiction.  Right now, in our country, 115 people die per day due to opioid related overdoses. A tangible way to reach out and increase awareness of this problem is to offer a dynamic event, starting with the Madison community. We hope to expand this fundraising and outreach event nationally after our first success in Madison, WI.  We have partnered with a local drug treatment facility, Tellurian, Inc. to help bring as much knowledge and information to the community as possible.

Our goal is to erase the stigma of addiction, help educate people to have the resources to move forward in their lives, and create a safer community for the future.
