The Splendor of Silent Film: Images from the Wisconsin Center for Film and Theater Research

press release: From Saturday, November 5 – Sunday, January 8, Overture’s free Playhouse Gallery will feature The Splendor of Silent Film: Images from the Wisconsin Center for Film and Theater Research, an exhibition of photographs and posters from the 1910s and 1920s that document the art, history and technology of filmmaking and celebrate the people who helped build the movie industry. The reception for this gallery, free and open to the public, will occur on Saturday, November 5 from 4:30 – 6:30 p.m.
