"Masses Brought Together in Light", an exhibit of architectural photography by Tim Mulcahy, is on display through the end of September in the Photo Gallery at Capitol Lakes, 333 W. Main Street, Madison. The exhibit is open to the public weekdays and weekends during normal business hours . A reception open to the public is scheduled for August 23 at 4pm. PMW members are cordially invited to attend.
The exhibit features architectural images highlighting the relationships between Le Corbusier's "great primary forms" - lines, cubes, circles, spheres, cylinders and pyramids. The images are all printed in black and white to emphasize the interplay between the light and shadows that reveal to advantage these great primary forms. The exhibit celebrates architecture as the "masterly, correct and magnificent play of masses brought together in light."
