Thursday, Sept. 29 at 5:30 p.m., Darbo Drive Salvation Army

Reason: Recent gun shots, uptick in disturbances and incidents from the Mobil gas station on East Wash and Darbo Drive.

Who: The Eastside Police and Alder Marsha Rummel will present. City partners, SASYNA and WPNA council members, as well as concerned community members will attend.

Captain Mary Schauf and police officers will update the neighborhood on the recent issues and their current and future strategy to handle it. Marsha Rummel will also speak, then questions will be taken from the community and reporters.

This comes on the heels of a shooting on the Southside Madison. We want this gunfire to stop before anything worse happens in our neighborhood.
