press release: All are invited to the first annual UW-Madison Keyboard Day featuring workshops, masterclasses and performances hosted by UW-Madison’s keyboard faculty. This year’s topic, “From the Practice Room to the Stage: The Pathway to Artistry,” will focus on mindful, effective practice strategies that lead to artistic and authentic performances.
High school students who would like to apply to participate in the masterclass and/or the honors recital should fill out the application form and submit a recording of two contrasting works to Professor Jess Johnson, jgjohnson@wisc.edu by January 31, 2017. Those selected for participation will be notified by February 15, 2017.
All UW-Madison Keyboard Day events are free and open to the public.
