Warner Park Lagoon Public Meeting
Warner Park Community Recreation Center 1625 Northport Drive, Madison, Wisconsin 53704
WARNER PARK LAGOON PUBLIC MEETING
Monday February 29 6:00 - 800pm
Warner Park Community Recreation Center, Community Room 1
The City of Madison, Wisconsin DNR, and several groups vested in Warner Lagoon have begun exploring a planning process with the intent of developing ideas for improving the water quality, environmental health, and recreational amenities of Warner Lagoon. As part of this planning process, we would like to hear from the neighbors and residents who use the lagoon.
This planning process is focused on the lagoon only, and does not extend to Warner Park as a whole. The planning process is being partially funded by a grant from the Wisconsin DNR.
Purpose: The purpose of the planning process is to address the deteriorated quality of the lagoon. This will be achieved by engaging the stakeholders and the public to define and prioritize the objectives for improvement.
Product: The product of the planning process will be a document that is agreed upon by the majority of participants and proposes realistic projects that work toward achieving the defined objectives. This document will be used to plan future projects when resources become available.
