media release: Water Street Jacks, a local band made up of educators from Sauk Prairie School District, has released their first studio album, River, now available on most streaming apps, and will be hosting an album release show at the High Noon Saloon on Sunday, April 30. They are excited to have three former students joining them as supporting acts! Michael Endres will be making his Madison debut, and MAMA award winner Mackenzie Moore will be there as well. Both are graduates of Sauk Prairie High School. Another Sauk grad, world traveler, and MAMA award winner will be rounding out the bill (come to the show to find out who).
Water Street Jacks is comprised of Ted Harter (lead vocals/guitar), Matt Brennan (keys/vocals), Hanjun Kim (bass),Owen Murphy (guitar/mandolin/vocals), and Hans Fester (drums/vocals). Harter is a teacher at Sauk Prairie Middle School. Brennan and Kim are teachers at Sauk Prairie High School. Murphy serves as a school counselor at Sauk Prairie High School, and Fester is in his first year of retirement from Sauk Prairie Middle School. They are proud of the work they have done on the album but even prouder of their former students who they will get to share the High Noon stage with on April 30th.
