”Farce of Nature” tells the story of one day in the life of the Wilburn family of Mayhew, Arkansas, owners and proprietors of The Reel 'Em Inn, the finest little fishing lodge in the Ozarks, at one time, anyway. The show features an outrageous cast of characters and situations including gangsters, frustrated wives, cross-dressing, door slamming, and mad chases. Yet by the delightfully chaotic climax of the show, love blossoms, truths are revealed and the lives of all change in incredible and surprising ways.
The Watertown Players were founded in 1988 to perform the annual holiday plays at the Octagon House Museum. Since 1997 the company has branched out and began to produce musicals and comedies. After being a nomadic troupe for 20 years, the Players finally settled down into their own theater space in The Market, 210 S. Water St., Watertown, in 2014. Be sure to make plans to see “Radio Daze II”, an original old-time radio style show written by the company’s founder, William F. Jannke, III, which will be presented April 29 & 30th.
