WIAA State Girls Volleyball Tournament

press release: The 57th Boys Volleyball Tournament and the 48th Girls Volleyball State Tournaments will be held Saturday, Nov. 7 at different sites for each division. The price of admission for the limited number of tickets afforded to schools for the tournament is $11.
GIRLS TOURNAMENT INFORMATION: The single-elimination tournament features matches with a best-of-five-sets, rally-scoring format. Of the 339 schools that opted to offer a girls volleyball program this fall, four teams will play for the State title in Division 1 instead of the traditional eight qualifying teams, with four teams still in contention for the State crown in Divisions 2, 3 and 4. Match-ups for the tournament is determined by seeding each of the teams in all divisions. Wisconsin Rapids Lincoln is the site for the Division 1 tournament; Kaukauna High School will host the Division 2 tournament; Wausau West hosts Division 3; and Little Chute hosts Division 4.

#2 Edgewood (14-1) vs. #3 Lakeside Lutheran (11-4) - 4 p.m. (UPDATE: The Wisconsin Interscholastic Athletic Association executive office has been notified that Edgewood has voluntarily withdrawn from the State Girls Volleyball Tournament scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 7. According to Board of Control approved COVID-19 pandemic accommodations, Platteville – the most recently defeated opponent – will replace Edgewood on the Division 2 bracket, without reseeding, and will play in the 4 p.m. semifinal match versus Lakeside Lutheran at Kaukauna H.S.)

BOYS TOURNAMENT INFORMATION: The single-elimination tournament features matches with a best-of-five-games, rally-scoring format. Burlington High School will serve as the site for the tournament. Of the 42 schools that opted to offer a boys volleyball program this fall, six remain to play for the single-division State title. Match-ups for the tournament are determined by seeding each of the teams. The top two seeds receive a bye in the quarterfinals, which is a result of revisions to account for fewer teams sponsoring boys volleyball in the fall during the COVID-19 pandemic.
