media release: The Wisconsin Chamber Orchestra (WCO) concludes the 2024/25 Masterworks Season with “Brahms & Jupiter” featuring guest pianist John Novacek. The concert will take place on Friday, April 25 at 7:30 PM in Capitol Theater at the Overture Center for the Arts. Single Tickets can be purchased online at overture.org/wco or by calling the Overture box office at 608.258.4141.
Closing the 24/25 Masterworks season is a lineup that mixes classical with contemporary. The concert opens with a newly commissioned work by American composer Conni Ellisor entitled A Woman Without Apology, and John Novacek, last with the WCO at Concerts on the Square in 2024, joins the orchestra to perform a titan of the Romantic era with Brahms’ mighty Piano Concerto No. 1. The grand finale for the evening is Mozart’s Symphony No. 41, the Jupiter Symphony. A crowning jewel of the Classical era, Mozart's final symphony is a testament to his unparalleled genius.
