Wisconsin Department of Transportation Meeting

press release: The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) Southwest Region will hold a public involvement meeting to discuss the proposed deck replacement of the Milwaukee Street Bridge over northbound I-39/90/94 in Dane County. The meeting is scheduled for 5-7 p.m. on Wednesday, October 26, at the City of Madison Fire Station, 6350 Town Center Drive.  

The project, scheduled for 2018, includes deck removal and replacement on the existing bridge. Road closure during construction is proposed for Milwaukee Street at the bridge with a detour route utilizing Thompson Drive, County T/Commercial Avenue, and Sprecher Road.  Acquisitions of additional right-of-way will not be needed for the project.  

The public is encouraged to attend the open-house meeting, provide input and ask questions concerning this project.  Maps showing the proposed improvements will be on display.  WisDOT representatives will be available to discuss the project on an individual basis. A formal presentation is not planned.
