Women in the Woods Fall Opener

It's time for the first annual Women in the Woods Fall Opener / Meet & Greet! A chance to get to know your fellow women in the woods, enjoy wine, s'more's and more, and immerse yourself in the great outdoors under the light of the full moon, just as the seasons begin to change.

We'll meet in the driveway of Swamplover's Foundation on Scheele Rd at 5 pm on Friday, Sept. 16. From there we'll take a short hike to the top of the hill where you can either stop and relax by the fire or continue on along the hiking trails. Valerie (one of your hosts and group creator) will stay at the hilltop shelter to help keep the snacks supplied and to answer questions you might have about Women in the Woods. We'll stay until the sun sets and the moon rises.

Door Prize Raffle: Held at sunset at the bonfire after our cermonial sparkler lighting beneath the full moon. Prizes include a casting lesson with the talented flyfishing guide Donna Pluciennik Smith, a prep pack from American Provenance, and more!!!

Directions to Swamplover's Foundation from Madison:

Take Highway 14 west. Continue on 14 through Cross Plains, then take a right on KP (just after Cross Plains). Take the first left onto Scheele Rd. The entrance to the park will be on your right. We'll meet in the driveway. Carpooling is recommended. Shuttle up the hill available for those with disabilities.
