press release: Young Playwrights for Change is a collaborative, national, middle school playwriting competition run by Theatre for Young Audiences/USA (TYA/USA) and the American Alliance for Theatre & Education (AATE). This session will be hosted by Children's Theater of Madison for the second year in a row. The goal of Young Playwrights for Change is to spark conversation and discussion throughout classrooms, schools, and communities. The team at TYA always choose a topic (this year is providing solutions to bullying). Then students write a 10 minute play about it! Interested homeschooled students of middle school age are encouraged to email education@ctmtheater.org for more information.
