Beer & Salsa benefit

This annual benefit for the Breast Cancer Recovery Foundation includes beer, wine and spirits from more than 30 area breweries, distilleries and wineries, with a salsa contest in three categories (traditional, fruit and “screamin’ hot,” all available for sampling, with chips of course). $25 donation/$20 with salsa contest entry (bring 1 quart by 2 pm), noon-4 pm at Dexter’s Pub, 301 North St.
Wine and Hop Shop Grand Re-Opening

The shop will be open at its new location at 1919 Monroe St. from 11 am to 8 pm. To celebrate its new digs and dedicated grain room, there will be special kegs of homebrew on tap, snacks by Brasserie V and even more fun.
