FairShare CSA Coalition Open House
The annual "meet your farmer" event will take place from 1 to 4 p.m. on Sunday, March 23, at Monona Terrace. Thirty-four CSAs from the area will be on hand to explain their programs; would-be subscribers can learn more about share types, what produce you might find in your box, pricing, dropoff sites, health insurance rebates and more.
There will be presentations on "CSA 101" (1:15 p.m.), cooking from your box (2:15 p.m.) and "CSAs for Small Households" (3:15 p.m.).

Culinary magazine drive
Kitchen Gallery, 107 King St., is collecting gently read culinary magazines to donate to students in chef training programs and families in nutrition education programs through magazineliteracy.org.
