L'Etoile: The restaurant is hosting three five-course wine pairing dinners. Wines from the Piedmont region are featured at 6:30 pm, Nov. 25 ($175); wines from Failla, of St. Helena, Calif., 6:30 pm, Dec. 1 ($190); and a champagne dinner is on tap, 6:30 pm Dec. 16 ($250). Reservations: 608-251-0500.
Old Sugar Distillery: Ten-minute tours and a free sample are yours for the taking every Thursday, Friday, and Saturday at the distillery at 931 E. Main St. Tours can take place any time between 4 and 7 pm Thurs.-Fri. and from noon to 7 pm Sat. Cocktails at the on-site bar, however, continue to be served until 10 pm. 608-260-0812.
